About

This author likes a good blurt. It’s good for the soul. It’s words that just come at me that give me some semblance of a string of words that I can throw down and call sentences. Ta-da! Blurts. I’ve been writing down these blurts since 6th grade when my teacher took my creative writing assignment and read it aloud to the 3 classes that had come together that day. It both embarrassed me and gave me a life-long relish for all things English classes where I could just write, write, write it all out… or blurt, rather. That came in handy when I had some teenage angst and took AP English classes in high school to chill. There I also had my work read aloud to the class but thankfully, the teacher didn’t share any names.

This blog is that 6th grader, that high schooler, that creative writing author with a penchant for blurting who now is The Grown Up Me. I have poems, I have short stories, I even have started a novel, but I will spare you of that one (it was a good try) but mostly, this girl has blurts for you to read. I hope that one or two will resonate with you and you will, if you’d like, share a good blurt of your own.
